Re-designing Classrooms

As I am looking at different teaching philosophies and curriculum development, I am thinking about re-designing my classroom and presentation of content. I want to do more research on the topics and will present my results here. This might turn into part of my capstone. We shall see....

Re-structure of classroom--
1. What class set up is more conducive to the 21st century learner?
2. Circle tables or desks in a structured setting?
3. Should I look at storing my things in a different location so the student feels more accessible to me and the learning environment is more open?

Presentation of curriculum--
1. Should I shift from a predominately paper-based curriculum to a more digital one?
2. Can I structure learning content using iPads for the majority of the class?
3. Can I give my lesson presentation and activities on the iPad and allow my students the freedom to complete them with their group-work?
4. Are high school students mature enough to handle roles in the learning process? Can they teach others in their groups and complete their roles in their groups affectively?
5. If I want these changes in presentation to take place, what classroom management rules should correspond to them?

Let's see what the research says...
